On Friday, May 25, 2012, we drove to Nice and boarded a ferry that sailed for Corsica in the early afternoon, arriving in Bastia around 8 o'clock that evening. We then headed to L'Ile Rousse on the northwestern part of the island where we stayed until Monday, May 28 (a public holiday in France). On Saturday, we visited Saint-Florent, and on Sunday, we took a lovely drive through the hinterland. We also spent a bit of time in Calvi on Monday before boarding a ferry back to Nice. Except for bringing our car and a Nespresso machine (yes, really!), we traveled light: all photos in this gallery were taken with a Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ20 compact camera. The Nikon stayed at home for this one!
