On February 1, 2019, I took the train to Marseille to spend the day with Didier. In the morning, it was raining, so we did the courageous thing: we sought shelter in an Italian restaurant to enjoy an early lunch. In the afternoon, the weather had cleared up enough for Didier to take me to the "Vallon des Auffes", a tiny part of Marseille I had always wanted see. The place did not disappoint, and I was glad I had brought my Fujifilm X100s along for the ride.
